The MISONO Building, a leisure complex founded in 1956; Closed its hotel for business in 2019, the banquet hall in 2020, and the bars on the second floor at the end of last year. Located in the basement of the building, the last light in the history of MISONO UNIVERSE will finally be extinguished with the closing of its 70-year curtain on this day.
FINALBY ( ), led by ∈Y∋(BOREDOMS) and COSMIC LAB, who have given numerous legendary performances in the MISONO building, will be the crowning glory of the finale.The children of the UNIVERSE will create the final legend of the MISONO UNIVERSE as it sublimates into an eternal existence that will be passed down from generation to generation. Opened in 1956 with the founding of the MISONO Building. As Japan’s largest super-massive cabaret, it became a magnet for entertainment in Osaka. Far predating the 1970’s Osaka EXPO, its cosmic atmosphere with a spacy interior and UFO-shaped aerial stage, was designed by the owners himself and built by his own construction team. In its later years, the MISONO UNIVERSE was revitalised as a live hall and acquired a new gravitational pull in Osakan culture. It became a sacred place for music, loved by both audiences and musicians alike.

MISONO building
A leisure complex in Sennichimae, Osaka, founded in 1956. The hotel closed for business in 2019, the banquet hall in 2020 and the bar area on the second floor, a mecca for various subcultures, at the end of last year.
On this day, the curtain of the building finally closes leaving behind 70 years of history.

∈Y∋ is the frontman of BOREDOMS, a globally influential band in the underground music scene; COSMIC LAB (VJ C.O.L.O. ‘s team) explores cognitive expansion through spatial expression; HORIO KANTA is an art engineer who pursues the relationship between sound and machines; and TAIKI NIIMI is a programmer who performs everything from circuit design to sound synthesis.Their first performance at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL'21 was called the most heterogeneous performance. The 2nd performance, performed at Art Basel in Hong Kong 2025 on the 29th March, had a spectacular impact, foreshadowing a new legend. *Pronounced (Final Bee).
With the full cooperation of the MISONO Building, FINALBY ( ) and COSMIC LAB, both art and technology experts with close ties to MISONO, will create an art performance that extends the final moments of the MISONO UNIVERSE into myth and legend.
COSMIC LAB was born and raised in the MISONO Building, where they organised the legendary 'Flower of Life' pARTy, and many sessions as the VJ unit 'BetaLand'. They have an office and studio on the second floor and have lived there for more than 20 years like a spirit guarding the building.
At the heart of these special moments created by COSMIC LAB, ∈Y∋ was always with them. His presence is a great eye that sees through visions: to read the cosmic conception hidden in the MISONO building, to distort the real space into a festive space and to transform consciousness, while being bathed in the alternative revelation mediated by BOREDOMS with all of their being. This was the origin of their activities and the raison d'etre of their presence in the MISONO Building.
